What Is It?
Our premium vegan vitamin D3, sourced from lichen, in a delicious gummy for everyone to enjoy.
What Does It Do?
Primary Uses: Vitamin D was discovered for its role in preventing the bone disorders rickets and osteomalacia because it facilitates the absorption of calcium, phosphorous and other minerals necessary for adequate bone mineralization. Maintaining optimal vitamin D levels is critical for healthy bone development which begins in childhood and helps prevent joint fractures in old age. Vitamin D deficiency is associated with compromised immunity because it is a potent immune system modulator, enhances immune response and downgrades autoimmunity.
Secondary Uses: Vitamin D is one of the most interesting nutrients for scientists to study because it is a vitamin that acts like a hormone. Like other hormones, it is involved in regulating a number of genes which are associated with autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis and type I diabetes and reduces the risk of developing these diseases. Vitamin D also supports proper cell differentiation which maintains healthy cells in the body.
Who Should Take It?
Vitamin D3 is the holy grail of vitamins; it should be included in every supplement regime as vitamin D deficiency is widespread. Since vitamin D3 is conventionally sourced from sheep wool, it has previously been unsuitable for vegans, who have used vitamin D2 as a substitute. Studies show that vitamin D3 is superior to vitamin D2 in its health benefits. D3 Gummies & D3 Gummies Kids are vegan based vitamin D3 formulas which offer the benefits of vitamin D3 to kids and adults alike.
SUGGESTED USE (Children 2-13): Take 1 gummy daily with food, or as directed by a qualified health care practitioner.
