• stabilizes mast cells that store and release histamine
• a potent antioxidant flavonoid
Medicinal Ingredients
Quercetin (Dimorphandra mollis) (seed) 250 mg
Non-Medicinal Ingredients
Hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule, Cellulose, Silicon Dioxide.
Widely distributed in the plant kingdom, quercetin is the most abundant of the flavonoid molecules. It is found in many often-consumed foods, including apples, onions, teas, berries, vegetables of the cabbage family, seeds, and nuts. Quercetin is thought to be an essential component of the activity of many plants.
Quercetin appears to have many beneficial effects on human health, including cardiovascular protection, as well as protection of the gastrointestinal tract. A number of quercetin's effects appear to be due to its antioxidant activity. Quercetin scavenges free radicals and inhibits oxidation of LDL cholesterol. By itself, and paired with vitamin C, quercetin can support the body's natural processes for reducing the incidence of oxidative damage to skin and nerves caused by glutathione depletion.
