    Safety

    Caution: May induce hepatotoxicity in those with pre-existing liver disease or as a result of certain preparation techniques.

    High doses: Kava dermopathy (dry scaling skin).

    Pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution.

    Interactions

    -Sedatives • may potentiate other related drugs
