Description

Vitamin C is an important vitamin that helps support and maintain immune function. Vitamin C helps in connective tissue formation and the development and maintenance of bones, cartilage, teeth, and gums, partly because of its role in connective tissue (collagen) production. Vitamin C also helps in wound healing and helps maintain the body’s ability to metabolize nutrients.

As an antioxidant, vitamin C protects the aqueous areas of the body (including the blood, intracellular fluid, and interstitial fluid) from free radicals. As vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, the body cannot store it, making regular supplementation important.
