Supportive therapy to treat upper respiratory tract infections (colds).
Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) organic fresh herb top and root 1:2 500 mg/ml. Non-medicinal ingredient: 50% organic ethyl alcohol.
Actions: Immune stimulant, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, detoxifying, increases sweating, heals wounds, anti-allergenic.

Take in a little water at the first signs of cold or upper respiratory tract infections:
2-4 years: 10 drops 3-4 times daily
5-9 years: 12 drops 4-5 times daily
10-14 years: 15 drops 6-8 times daily
+15 years and adults: 30 drops 6-8 times daily gargle and swallow.
Duration of use: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 8 weeks.
Precautions:
Consult a health care practitioner: prior to use if you are taking immunosuppressants, if you have a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, leukosis, collagenosis or multiple sclerosis or if symptoms persist or worsen.
Contraindications:
Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family.
Known adverse reaction:
Hypersensitivity (allergy) may occur. If this happens, discontinue use.
To consider:
Do not give to children younger than 2 years of age.
Should not be used by persons who have an autoimmune disease such as lupus, multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, or collagen disease or by those with tuberculosis.
Certain research mentions that this plant may neutralize certain effects of chemotherapy.
May deactivate CYP3A4, a hepatic enzyme which metabolizes a wide range of medication.
The action of the vaginal cream Econazole may be attenuated by echinacea.
Neoral / Prograf: Avoid use before and after organ transplant if cyclosporine Neoral Sandimmune or tacrolimus (Prograf) is prescribed to prevent organ rejection.
May increase the effects of anabolic steroids / metroexaste (anticancer), hismanal (anti-histaminic), nifidipine (Adalat, Procardia), captopril (Capoten) used to treat hypertension and Viagra, used to treat erectile dysfunction.
