BlueRich Super Strength Blueberry Concentrate 36:1 is made from whole, Canadian-grown blueberries and provides antioxidants for the maintenance of good health. Each softgel contains the equivalent of about cup of fresh blueberries, supplying the full spectrum of antioxidants naturally present in blueberry skin, seeds, pulp, and juice.
BlueRich is standardized to contain 2.5–5% anthocyanins, the compounds that give blueberries their high ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) value. ORAC is one of the standard methods for measuring antioxidant capacity in foods. The higher the ORAC value, the higher the concentration of antioxidants capable of counteracting free radical damage. Free radicals are highly reactive compounds that promote oxidative stress. Experts recommend eating a variety of foods providing at least 3000–5000 ORAC units per day. BlueRich provides 100 ORAC units per gram.
