Ingredients

Each capsule contains:
Calcium (carbonate) : 250 mg
Magnesium (oxide) : 125 mg
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) : 100 IU (2.5 mcg)

Gelatin capsule (gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide), microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).

Description

Known as the most abundant mineral in the body, calcium is a bone-strengthening mineral that works alongside other minerals and vitamins in the prevention of bone deterioration. Calcium also has a range of other benefits, including the maintenance of a regular heartbeat, transmission of nerve impulses, muscle growth, and contraction.
Magnesium plays a vital role in the prevention of calcification of soft tissue and may be as important as calcium in the prevention of bone loss. When magnesium is supplemented with calcium in a 2:1 ratio (calcium:magnesium), the bones undergo stronger calcification, which may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis.
Vitamin D plays a crucial role in bone growth and renewal as it stimulates the absorption of calcium. It also reduces calcium excretion and facilitates calcium incorporation into the bones, reducing the risk of developing osteoporosis. Because of its role in calcium absorption, it is also important for the maintenance of healthy teeth. Cholecalciferol is the most biologically active form of vitamin D and is safe and naturally derived.
