Microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).
Biotin is a water-soluble essential nutrient that is part of the B complex family of vitamins. It is found in trace amounts in all animal and plant tissue and is also produced in the intestines.
A number of enzymes require biotin as a coenzyme in order to function properly in various metabolic activities. It assists in the synthesis of fatty acids, in nucleic acid synthesis, and in the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. Biotin has also been found to stimulate the production of glycogen, the storage form of glucose that acts as an energy reserve in the muscles.
Biotin assists with the proper functioning of other vitamins in the B complex family. Sufficient quantities are required for healthy hair and skin. A deficiency of biotin mainly affects the skin and hair, with symptoms such as hairloss, dermatitis, grayish skin colour, and a rash around the nose and mouth.
