Juniper berry has a long history of use, mainly as a urinary tract antiseptic and to help digestive disturbances. Its actions include diuretic and carminative, and it has been used for conditions such as dyspepsia, flatulence, heartburn, bloating, loss of appetite, urinary tract infections (UTIs), kidney and bladder stones, intestinal worms, gastrointestinal infections, diabetes and cancer.
