Description

Bupleurum is one of the most important herbs used in TCM. It nourishes the liver and helps with hepatitis, gallbladder and digestive ailments. It is anti-inflammatory, adaptogenic, hepatoprotective, anti-pyretic, diaphoretic, bitter tonic/digestive, antiviral and anti-bacterial, immune-enhancing, renal tonic, renal protective and tonic.

Average daily dose is 500 mg.

Potential side effects/Safety

Caution in autoimmune conditions. Avoid in interferon therapy for hepatitis and in concomitant use with antibiotics and NSAIDs. Excessive use may cause GI distress. Drug interactions may exist.
