B. Lactis is another beneficial bifidobacterium found in the intestines. It has been shown to decrease H. Pylori. Its other immune enhancing effects include its ability to increase the number of activated T lymphocytes and NK cells. This is the species in Activia yogurt. This species shields epithelial cells from cellular damage caused by gliadin exposure and is important for people with celiac disease.
