Description

Corn silk is a mild diuretic, soothing demulcent and is very beneficial for the urinary system, including children. It is also an antacid, mild stimulant, and general tonic. Research shows it may reduce hypertension and blood clotting time.

Average dose is 600 mg daily.

Potential side effects/Safety

Avoid in pregnancy and lactation. Moderate interaction with antidiabetic, antihypertensive, corticosteroids, diuretic drugs and anticoagulant drugs. Additional drug interactions may exist.
