Buchu is used for UTIs, urethritis and pyelonephritis. It is also used for prostatitis, BPH, high blood pressure, fever, cough, common cold, upset stomach, stomach ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gout and STDs.

Caution in bleeding disorders and kidney inflammation. Avoid in pregnancy. May cause stomach and kidney irritation, and can be an abortive or induce increased menstrual flow.
