Passionflower is a safe and natural mild sedative, antispasmodic and mild pain reliever. It is employed to alleviate insomnia, stress and treatment of mild to moderate anxiety and GAD. It has also been used for nervous gastrointestinal conditions, opiate withdrawal, hysteria, diarrhea, dysentery, neuralgia (pain along a nerve), generalized seizures, nervous tachycardia and spasmodic asthma.

Average daily dose is 200 mg.
Avoid in pregnancy and lactation. Caution preoperatively (CNS depressant). May potentiate CNS depressants. Additional drug interactions may exist.
