Description

This herb is traditionally used as an energy tonic to increase sexual vitality and treat erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the pelvic area. Long term use has been known to enhance the production of sex hormones in both sexes. Muira Puama has also been used for stress management, nervous system stimulation and for general overall health.

Potential side effects/Safety

Caution in allergies of the Olacaceae family. May interact with anticoagulant/antiplatelet, hypertensive and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) medications as well as testosterone or estrogen-like herbs. Caution with other pain relieving (analgesic) agents. Additional drug interactions may exist.
