Calcium Butyrate 400 mg
Butyrate is a four carbon short chain fatty acid (SCFA) that the intestinal tract uses as food. It is generated from colon bacteria in conjunction with fibre and is taken up by the colonocytes, the cells that line the colon. It has a direct impact on the development, regeneration, growth and multiplication of the villi in the intestinal tract, increasing their length and number, which enhances the enzymatic digestion and enlarges the absorption surface. It prevents the adhesion and colonization of pathogenic bacteria in the colon and strengthens the functioning of the pancreas and liver.
