Aloe Vera is known for its healing effects on the skin and intestinal tract. Its primary internal use is for constipation. Topically the gel is used for minor burns, genital herpes, wound healing, psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis.

Caution in diabetes, surgery (hypoglycemic effect), kidney disorders and hemorrhoids. Avoid in pregnancy and lactation. Use caution when breastfeeding. Drug interactions may exist. Do not use for more than ten consecutive days as it may lead to dependency.
