What Is It?
Arginine is a 'conditionally essential' amino acid, meaning that more of it is required under certain circumstances. This is a very recent nutritional category, and the study of arginine's numerous health benefits has been instrumental to its recognition. Arginine is a precursor to creatine - a compound critical to the generation of ATP, the most basic unit of energy utilized by the human body.
What Does It Do?
Primary Uses: Arginine enhances the release of human growth hormone (hGH), enhances insulin sensitivity, supports liver detoxification, and has been shown to support interstitial cystitis, spermatogenesis, and treatment of brain injuries.
Secondary Uses: Clinical studies have found high doses of arginine beneficial for blood pressure, circulation, and in patients with cardiovascular diseases.
Who Should Take It?
Arginine is mostly used by athletes and by those with cardiovascular conditions due to its ability to support healthy heart function and exercise capacity.
Take 3 capsules one to three times daily on an empty stomach, or as directed by a qualified health practitioner.
