What Is It?
Fem Adapt is AOR's premium menopause formula. While many formulas contain ingredients with minimal research in menopausal women, doses that are too low or unstandardized extracts, Fem Adapt provides the most powerful, clinically studied, standardized phytoestrogens in research-backed doses. Fem Adapt contains flax lignans, soy isoflavones, black cohosh and a hops extract standardized for 8-prenylnaringenin.
What Does It Do?
Primary Uses: AOR's Fem Adapt formula provides safe and effective relief for menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats and protection against health problems for which the risk increases after menopause like cardiovascular complications, osteoporosis and others. Phytoestrogens have mild estrogen activity and can serve as natural hormone replacement therapy.
Secondary Uses: Some of the ingredients in Fem Adapt have also been used in herbal medicine to help relieve premenstrual symptoms, including pain associated with menstruation, muscle and joint pain associated with rheumatic conditions (such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, or fibrositis), nerve pain like sciatica and to help ease nervous tension.
Who Should Take It?
Menopausal women experiencing uncomfortable menopausal symptoms and post-menopausal women will benefit the most from Fem Adapt.
In 51 women receiving 60 mg isoflavones daily for 12 weeks, hot flashes and night sweats were reduced by 57% and 43%, respectively. (Cheng et al., 2007)
Twenty-four months of treatment with genistein has positive effects on BMD in osteopenic postmenopausal women. (Lubrano et al., 2007)
