Kava Kava (30% kavalactones) 250 mg
The kavalactones within kava are responsible for its sedative effects. Kava has a number of uses but its most popular use in North America is to help with conditions associated with stress and anxiety. Research suggests kavalactones potentiate the effects of GABA, but do not alter the levels of dopamine or serotonin in the CNS.
