Fenugreek reduces blood glucose levels and improves glucose tolerance in patients with diabetes. Its steroidal saponins inhibit cholesterol absorption and synthesis. Its applications include atherosclerosis, hypercholesterolemia, high triglycerides, diabetes Type I and II. It is also a galactagogue.
